Quiet Curiosities, 2024, Installation.
Susannah Collins is a visual artist based on Wurundjeri land in North-East Melbourne. Through a holistic approach to her practice that encompasses painting, embroidery, and sculpture, Susannah creates small monuments that honor the passage of time and the nuances of everyday life. Her work explores the interplay between assemblages and their painted portraits, delving into the boundaries between representation and imagination.
I would like to acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations as the Traditional Owners of the land on which I live and work. I respectfully recognise Elders past, present and emerging.
