Statement
(or an approximation of)
"I gave up on finding my style a while ago. Although it used to worry me, I realised that as soon as I get comfortable, I jump ship. For me, this is a way of never getting stuck - either moving forward or, in my case, moving in cycles. Through all of these shifts, common threads emerge; obsessions with the natural world and with concepts related to time and memory. I explore these themes through tactile means (and whatever I have on hand) - thread, embroidery, and my first love, oil paint."

In 2024, Susannah completed a Master of Fine Art at RMIT University, further developing her exploration of themes like memory and storytelling. She has exhibited her work in solo and group shows across local and interstate galleries, presenting pieces that intertwine personal narratives with reflections on her immediate vicinity and the natural world.
